DO first things first and second things never.
Sometimes we get caught up with life and forget to do what we really need to be focused on DOING.
Here is a TIP for staying focused:
Set an alarm to go off every hour on the hour and develop the habit of asking yourself the following question -
Am I DOING what I should be DOING right NOW to achieve my goal?
Or, Am I DOING what I should be DOING right NOW to complete the #1 thing on my TO DO LIST?
1. Take some time weekly to plan your week.
2. Write down all the things you need to get done.
3. Prioritize your list.
4. Develop the habit to only focus on the #1 item on your list.
5. Keep your list prioritized and your most important task to get done will always be in the #1 position.
6. When you plan your schedule for the week, only focus on what you should be doing NOW.
7. Know that the other items on your schedule will get your attention according to YOUR schedule.
8. Be where you are and do only what you should be doing NOW.
9. Set that reminder on your smart phone so that you stay focused.
10. Have a plan for both work life and family life.
Think about how much more you will get done if you planned your week.
A wise person once said that you should never start your day until you finished your day on paper.
You will be amazed to SEE how much more free time you have when you have a complete view of your week to look at because you took the time to write it on paper or input the information on a Task Management program on your computer or smart phone.
Keep Thinking and Implement Daily.
