Leadership is not authority.
Leadership is not position.
Leadership using authority and position is always going to be short lived.
John Maxwell says that Leadership is Influence, nothing more and nothing less.
Some people use authority, position and fear to get people to follow them, because the leader lacks the skills, knowledge and wisdom of being a Servant Leader.
Servant Leaders have people follow them, because the people want to and not because they have to.
Jesus the Master Teacher and Leader said it best. He said that he came to serve, not to be served.
Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.
So, Leaders please learn to Serve.
