Start loving yourself

Jesus once said that we should love one another.
When you look around what do you see?
I see people that dislike themselves and are not aware that they are hurting themselves.
If they dislike themselves, it would make sense that, they are not really capable of loving anyone.

Have you ever noticed people that smoke?
Have you ever seen people that are addicted to drugs?
Have you ever noticed that most people have a addiction to food?
Do you know someone that is addicted to something?
Do you know people with a bad attitude?

You cannot love others if you do not love yourself.
Do you love yourself?

Do you take care of your Spiritual, Mental, and Physical being?

Take a personal look at yourself and make a decision to improve today.

Stop smoking.
Stop the Drug Addiction.
Eat Right.
Improve your Thinking.
If you need help, ASK FOR HELP.

Improve yourself and help Improve others.
Love yourself and Love others.

Live a life that Inspires others to improve their lifestyle.

Get GOD back in YOUR life.

Very insightful and very true....Take a second to read this:

Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as “Holiday Trees” for the first time this year which prompted CBS presenter, Ben Stein, to present this piece which I would like to share with you. I think it applies just as much to many countries as it does to America . . .

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, “Merry Christmas” to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crib, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her: “How could God let something like this happen?” (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said: “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?”

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it.... no one will know you did. But if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully

Ben Stein

I think everyone should Think and FOCUS on getting GOD BACK in schools instead of worring about taking GUNS away from people.

Guns don't kill.

People that don't know RIGHT from Wrong are potential Killers.

How to use the Rosary

"Say the rosary every day, to obtain peace for the world and an end to the war."

"As your fingers count off the beads, you don't think about work or bills or school. You spend time with Christ and his mother."

One of the most familiar symbols of Catholicism is the circle of small beads called rosary beads. Although rosary beads come in many varieties and can be very decorative, their function is simple: to count prayers.

The idea of rosary beads is not uniquely Catholic: the Hebrews used to tie 150 knots on a string to represent the 150 Psalms and Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists and Muslims also use strings of beads to keep track of prayers and mantras.

In Catholicism, the prayers that are counted on rosary beads are collectively known as the rosary. A rosary consists of several (often five or fifteen) decades of set prayers. A decade consists of one Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one Glory Be. The development of the practice of praying the rosary and the method for doing so are outlined in this article.

History of the Rosary

Various means of counting prayers have been used in Christianity since the early church. A fourth-century hermit named Paul is recorded as having tossed a pebble into a pile for each of his 300 daily Our Fathers. Later monks kept track of prayers on knotted cords, and in the 11th century the cords were replaced by beads of wood or clay. The English Lady Godiva had a string of jewels that she used to count prayers. In the 12th and 13th centuries some people began adding or substituting Hail Marys.

Today, the rosary is not the only set of prayer beads used in Catholicism. There are over 60 different approved circlets of beads used to guide prayers in the Catholic Church. Each is used for a particular type of prayer: prayer to the Holy Spirit, meditation on the Seven Sorrows, the Sacred Heart, or the Holy Face, prayer to various saints, and prayer to Mary under her many different titles. These prayers, and the beads used to count them, are called chaplets.

The rosary, however, far surpasses all the chaplets in popularity. According to Catholic tradition, the rosary was instituted by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. In the 13th century, she is said to have appeared to St. Dominic (founder of the Dominicans), given him a rosary, and asked that Christians pray the Hail Mary, Our Father and Glory Be prayers instead of the Psalms. The original rosary of St. Dominic had 15 decades.

The Prayers of the Rosary

Although a variety of prayers might be used in saying the rosary, a selection of standard prayers are most commonly used. They are: Hail Mary, Our Father (the Lord's Prayer), Glory Be, and Apostle's Creed.

Apostle's Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; They kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary:
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be:
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Fatima Prayer:
O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.
The Mysteries of the Rosary

To help prevent praying the rosary from becoming a mindless repetition, the practice developed of meditating on events in the lives of Christ and Mary, which are called "mysteries." They are classified as the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries. Each consists of five events, which correspond to the five decades of the rosary.

The Joyful Mysteries are prayed on Mondays and Saturdays. The events all have to do with Christ's birth.

The Annunciation (Luke 1:26-28)
The Visitation (Luke 1:39-56)
The Nativity (Luke 2:1-21)
The Presentation (Luke 2:22-38)
The Find of the Child Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:41-52)

The Luminous Mysteries (or Mysteries of Light) are recalled on Thursdays. They were instituted by Pope John Paul II in 2002.

The Baptism in the River Jordan (Matthew 3:13-16)
The Wedding Feast at Cana (John 2:1-11)
The Preaching of the Coming of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14-15)
The Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8)
The Institution of the Holy Eucharist (Matthew 26)

The Sorrowful Mysteries relate to Jesus' suffering and death. They are recalled on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Agony of Jesus in the Garden (Matthew 26:36-56)
The Scourging at the Pillar (Matthew 27:26)
The Crowning with Thorns (Matthew 27:27-31)
The Carrying of the Cross (Matthew 27:32)
The Crucifixion (Matthew 27:33-56)

The Glorious Mysteries remind the faithful of Jesus' resurrection and the glories of heaven. They are prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The Resurrection (John 20:1-29)
The Ascension (Luke 24:36-53)
The Descent of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-41)
The Assumption of Mary into Heaven
The Coronation of Mary in Heaven

How to Pray the Rosary

Following are the steps for praying the rosary using rosary beads.

On the crucifix, say the Apostles' Creed.
On the next large bead, pray the Our Father.
On the next three small beads, pray three Hail Marys.
On the chain, pray the Glory Be.
Announce the first mystery (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful or Glorious).
On the large bead, pray the Our Father.
On the next ten beads, pray ten Hail Marys.
On the chain, pray the Glory Be.
Optional: Add the Fatima Prayer here.
Repeat steps 5 through 9 for the next four decades.

What is Heaven or Hell like?

Enjoy this Story:

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like."

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

But the people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They then went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, "I don’t understand."

"It is simple" said the Lord, "In this place the people have learned to feed one another."

What is Your Name?

What is Your name?
When we are asked this question most people will respond "My name is Firstname Lastname".
Am I right?
Well, what if someone never asks "What is your name?".
What will people call YOU if you never gave them the name given to you on your birth certificate?
You think that YOUR name is the name given to you by your parents.

Here is my take on what YOUR name really means.
I am that I am.
Your name is more than what people call you.
Your name is more than the name written on Your birth certificate.
Your NAME changes depending on how YOU communicate with other people.
Your NAME TRULY means I AM that I AM.

You may notice that some people think YOU are:
Fantastic
Great
Sad
Good
Bad
Horrible
Super
Nasty
Nice
Pretty
Beautiful
Sexy
Depressing
Uplifting
Sweet
I hope YOU get my point.
These people call YOU and Think of YOU using many different NAMES.

What people think of YOU or CALL YOU is not really important.
Even JESUS and Mother Theresa were called by NAMES that were BOTH good and bad.

The Important thing is that YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
YOU ARE NOT YOUR NAME.

I AM THAT I AM.
I am many different things to many different people.
I am many different NAMES to many different people.
I Am that I Am.

If you are bad to people, people will CALL YOU BAD NAMES.
If you are good to people, people will CALL YOU GOOD NAMES.
These last two statements are not the Truth.
The TRUTH is people CALL YOU NAMES based on THEIR Thinking.
Their Thinking is only their opinion.
What people call you is a reflection of how they see YOU.
What they call you tells YOU what they think of YOU.
What people call you teaches YOU about them and their thinking.

Know WHO you are.
Know WHO you belong to.
Know that I AM that I AM.

GOD MADE YOU in his image and likeness.
You are what You choose to BE.

So, WHAT is YOUR Name?
Let YOUR ACTIONS speak for YOU.
It matters NOT what you call me.
What Truly matters is WHAT YOU DO.
Unfortunately, most people don't KNOW who they are.
Unfortunately, most people don't KNOW who they belong to.
Unfortunately, most people think they are what other people call them.

If you don't know who you are you cannot ACT in a way that is TRUE to your inner being.
When YOU know who you belong to, other people's opinion of you really never affects you.
When YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, YOU will be free to be WHO you TRULY are.

I don't see people as they are now. I see people for what they have the potential of becoming.
I see in them what they sometimes don't see in themselves.
I only see their potential.

What would YOU like to be CALLED?
Who would YOU like to BE?
Who am I?
Am I Good or Bad?
Which of the above questions are more important?

I am that I am.
It is as simple as that.
Life is SO very Easy when YOU KNOW the TRUTH!

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

5 steps to being Wealthy Now

Here is a quick lesson on being RICHER today.

The richest person is not the person who has the most but who needs the least.

Here is my quick list to being wealthy NOW.

1. Want less.
Most people live the habit of always wanting more. They live in a constant state of WANT.
Can you relate to this feeling of always wanting?
Take a true inventory of everything in your life and you will see all the STUFF you wanted but never really used. Most homes are filled with useless STUFF. How much richer would you be today if you didn't WANT so much useless STUFF? Learn from this lesson and decide to WANT less as you move forward in life. Wanting is a sign that you feel LACK in your life. Wanting without truly needing is what will keep you POOR.
Wake up knowing that you already have everything.
Free yourself of WANT and YOU will be RICHER TODAY!

2. Be grateful.
Live a life of gratitude and you will always feel and be rich.
Think of all you have right now. Wake up daily and be grateful for everything you have in your life.
People that appreciate what they have are always happier and less likely to feel LACK in their life.
When you are grateful you are blessed with a smile on your face. It is impossible to be grateful and depressed at the same time. People become depressed because they never learned to be grateful.
I have always said that the cure for depression is learning to be grateful for all you have in life.
You have the ability to see.
You have the ability to hear.
You have the ability to walk.
You have the ability to hold and hug.
You have the ability to think.
You have the ability to choose.
You were BORN with so much to be grateful for.
Be grateful and USE what you already possess and you will receive more.
Be grateful and you will be RICHER TODAY!

3. Help someone else daily.
Helping others daily is one of the most powerful things we can ever do.
Think about it this way.
You must already be rich today to help someone else today.
You don't need money to help others.
You can help with your TIME.
You can help with your KNOWLEDGE.
You can help with your EXPERIENCE.
You can help with your ADVICE.
You can help with your KINDNESS.
You can help with your CARING.
You can help with your ATTENTION.
You can help with your GIVING.
You can help with your LOVE.
YOU CAN HELP.
Here is the lesson with helping others; know that you always have something to give and you already possess something that will help.
When you HELP others YOU will be blessed and you will be RICHER TODAY!

4. Know who you are.
Who are you?
How much are you worth?
I ask myself these question daily.
My answer is always; I am envied by Angels and I am Priceless.
When you know who you are and what you are truly worth you can never be poor.
Know who you are and be RICHER TODAY!

5. Understand the Value of Time.
Being Rich is having Money.
Being Wealthy is having TIME.
Having Time is always more important than having money.
When you understand this fact you will learn to make better use of your TIME.
You can always make more money but you can never make more time.
Use your time wisely and you will be RICHER today.

The Truth about Love

What is Love?
Is Love a Feeling?
Is Love an Attachment?
Is Love a Desire?

Some define love as a strong emotional feeling AND attachment.
However this is not entirely true.

Have you seen a movie about Love?
When was the last time you saw a Romantic Comedy?

Love in our Society is normally connected and associated with Lust, Desire, Attachment, Jealously, Pain, Worry, Need and Sadness, just to name a few other feelings and emotions.

So, here is my TRUTH on Love.
Love is PURE when it is selfless.
Love has no Lust for Lust is a wanting of something while Love has no want.
Love has no attachment for Love is about freedom and letting go.
Love has no Jealously for Jealously is FEAR and Love has no Fear.
Love has no Pain for to Truly Love means to feel no pain.
Love has no Worry for Love is secure.
Love has no Need; to have True Love is to have Everything.
Love has no Sadness for Love is pure Joy.

Love is Pure only when it is not associated with any other feeling that pollutes your LOVE.

Do YOU truly LOVE?
Love is not what most people think it is.
If everyone TRULY LOVED each other there would be no war.
There would be no crime.
There would be no hurt.
There would be no pain.
There would be no Jealously.
There would be no worry.

TRUE LOVE is unconditional.
TRUE LOVE is letting go.
TRUE LOVE is freedom.
TRUE LOVE is not about yourself.

Anything other than PURE LOVE is not LOVE.

When you love someone, Love them.
Love is Timeless.
Love is Forgiving.
Love is Unconditional.
God is Love.

Love is pure only when it is not contaminated with other feelings - Barry Dillah

What we all want.

What do you want?
Most people want Safety and Security.

There are two paths to Achieving Safety and Security in your Life:
1. Find a Job and seek approval for the rest of your Life.
2. Be an Entrepreneur and take control of your Life.

Let's look at these choices a bit closer:

Choice #1 Find a Job and seek approval for the rest of your Life.
  • You must First Find a JOB.
  • You must ALWAYS seek Approval from someone else.
  • You must work a schedule dictated by someone else.
  • Your Safety and Security are always in someone else's control.
Choice #2 Be an Entrepreneur and take control of your Life.
  • You must Decide to become an Entrepreneur - You don't have to FIND it.
  • You ALWAYS control the decisions you make without having to seek approval.
  • You work your own schedule.
  • Your Safety and Security are ALWAYS in YOUR control.
Think about driving a car.
Which of the Options below makes YOU FEEL BETTER?
A. You are the driver and have control of your Safety and Security.
B. You are the passenger and have no control of your safety and security.

I would choose option A.

80% of the population want Safety and Security but they decided to put that BASIC NEED in someone else's control. It's no wonder why so many never FEEL safe and secure.

You will never feel safe and secure if someone else is in control of your Life.

It is time to re-evaluate your Life and make the changes you need to make to FEEL MORE SAFE AND SECURE! No one but YOU can make that decision for you.

Truth about our Prayers

The Truth is singular.
Any other version of the Truth cannot be the Truth.
The truth will set you free.
The truth will empower you.
Twisting the truth will not change the TRUTH.
The truth has no other versions.
A lie does not change the TRUTH - Barry Dillah

The truth about Prayers is that WE ALL PRAY.
You don't have to be a believer to pray.
In fact, even Atheist use prayer but don't KNOW that they do.
Not believing does not change the TRUTH.

This Truth came to me in 1979 while in deep meditation. I was 14 years old at the time when I realized these Truths:
1. We all Pray.
2. We must stay connected to the source so that we receive what we pray for.
3. Everything we need is INSIDE us.

Again, let me remind you that the TRUTH is singular.

So, why do you pray and how do you pray?
We all pray because we are constantly thinking of our desires, needs, wants, wishes, dreams, hopes, and so we are constantly hoping, wishing and asking for some change in our lives.
Very few of us are satisfied with what we currently have.
We are constantly praying. We were designed to pray. Prayer is how we all get what we want in life.

The truth is the truth. We all pray.

The problem is that not all prayers are answered the way we want it to be answered and this is because we all pray in different ways. Some of us get everything we ask for while others get nothing they ask for.
Why is this? You may ask.

Most people keep praying for the same thing on a daily basis and after some time they stop praying or asking for what they want because they didn't get what they asked for soon enough. If you want something bad enough you would never stop asking for it.
There are two reasons you never receive what you pray for.
1. You stop wanting it.
2. You keep asking because you lack Faith.

Are you confused? Well, let me explain.
You stop wanting it means that your focus has changed and you no longer really want what you thought you wanted. Since your thoughts have changed, your prayer has been cancelled.
Why do you keep asking? You keep asking because you never TRULY BELIEVE or YOU LACK FAITH that your prayer was heard the first time you asked. Lack of belief and Lack of Faith leaves you BLIND and YOU will never SEE your prayers answered. You should read that again and again until you realise the TRUTH about yourself.

When I pray, I ask once and I already know that I have received what I have asked for. No need to keep asking. If WE truly want something bad enough WE never take our focus off the thing we want.
The TRUTH IS THE TRUTH.

You will never have your prayers answered if you are disconnected from the source that fulfills your request. We all pray but only some of us receive what we pray for. You must be connected to receive.

Look outside at the grass and trees. The grass and trees grow without any effort. Life is effortless when you are connected to the source. Cut a branch off the tree and eventually the branch that is now disconnected dries up and dies. The connected branches keep receiving and keep growing because they are connected to the source that feeds and nourishes life.

Are you TRULY connected or are you really disconnected?
Do you TRULY have FAITH?
Are your prayers being answered?
If you are reading this I hope that you will be inspired to become TRULY connected to your source.
There is no lack when you get connected.

Don't be blind anymore. Have Faith and SEE!

We were born with EVERYTHING inside us.
Don't look at the stars and into space to see the universe because what you seek is inside of you.
YOU are Everything! There is a Universe inside of you.
If you are TRULY BLESSED you will one day have the wisdom to know the TRUTH.
You need nothing because you have everything.
When you learn to rid yourself of wanting you will understand that your prayer was always answered because the asking and the receiving is built INSIDE of YOU.
We are one with everything.
When You hurt, I hurt. When You feel JOY, I feel JOY. We are connected only with LOVE.
If you do not Love me, you cannot feel what I feel.
Love one another.

I hope that this wisdom adds value to you.
Your value is not based on the size of your bank account as society wants you to believe. Money is not the True measure of your worth.
You are PRICELESS. Know your TRUE worth.
The Truth is singular.
Know who you are and stop listening to what society wishes you to think and believe.

I am that I am. Nothing more needs to be said. Nothing more is needed. I am that I am.

Don't forget to share this with your LOVED ones!

Keep Kids Physically Active

I was doing my daily walk on my treadmill earlier today while I was looking at the Living Well Network. They featured a guy about 22 years old and close to 400 LBS. You guessed it, he was trying to loose weight.
Seems like some people just wake up one day and wondered what happened to their health.
This reminded me about a blog I wrote several weeks ago about paying attention.
If you don't pay attention to your health you will pay the price.

Here is my take on what's happening today.
Kids are less active than WE used to be when I was growing up.
I see very few kids doing any type of outdoor activities.
Looks like they wake up and go to school.
They then come home and do home work.
If kids do anything else its on an electronic device.
We have the smart phones, Playstation, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo, etc.
All kids do today is SIT and PLAY.

What happened to GOING OUTSIDE and PLAYING with your friends?
What happened to PHYSICAL PLAY?

With so much less physical play activity it's no wonder kids are putting on more weight.
I remember growing up and 99% of all kids were very slim. The other 1% were not really that big anyway. Today we see less than 40% slim and more than 40% overweight with 20% seriously OBESE.

I understand that we are living in different times and you just cannot let kids today go outside and PLAY without some sick psychopath attempting to take them. However, it's the grown-ups that must make the effort to take kids outside. Guess what, it will be good for your health too.

Well, some will say that parents are SO BUSY working and we have no time to PLAY.
So, here is what I have to say about that statement.
How much does a SICK KID cost?
I suggest that we work less and play more with kids.
What's the point working to PAY MEDICAL BILLS?
Adults need to learn how to manage their time wisely.
Do not loose focus on the important things in life.
Do not forget the important PEOPLE in our lives.

If we do not teach our kids to stay active and MAKE IT A HABIT to stay active we will have a HUGE PRICE to pay later in life.

Eat healthy and Stay physically Active.

Times have changed.
Remember going outside and riding your bike all day long?
Remember playing outside with real friends and playing real games?
Remember playing and falling and getting cut and bruised and thinking it was FUN?
Remember sweating and drinking TAP water and not dying?

I could go on and on....but you get the point.

Funny, but my son just asked me "DAD, DO YOU EVER WORK?"

Looks like the time I spend with him is always QUALITY TIME doing activities WE BOTH like doing.

Go on trail walks. Walk around the Mall. Wrestle and PLAY fight. Ride bikes. Just DO something physical. Get a treadmill and walk while watching your favorite show.

Kids stay active when they see you being active.

Find a way to stay active and everyone will live a healthier life.

When I think of new ideas, I start with the intent of adding value to others. I hope that every topic and everything I write will in some way help at least one person.
Now, I'm thinking and hoping the the people that read what I write likes it enough to share it with everyone in their circle.
With technology today, I can write something that could change and improve someones life and have it shared all over the world in seconds.
When I'm done with this blog topic someone could be reading it on their iPad thousand of miles away. You could be reading this while you are on break from your workday and have something to inspire you for the rest of your day. You could be reading this on a park bench on your smart phone and it could help you in your life today. You could be reading this on your laptop and you think that you know someone who could benefit from what you just read. Why not share it?

What is even more important is that if you read and learn and you are inspired by anything you learn in life, why not SHARE what you know with everyone you know.
Who would you like to help?

With social media today, YOU can help change someones life just by sharing.
When we work together to help everyone we know, to improve the thinking of everyone we know, this world would be a much better place for everyone.
Share and lift up everyone you know.
I know that I appreciate all the people in my life that SHARE with me what they know.

Remember, none on us is as smart as all of us.

People need to SHARE ideas that improve the lives of everyone in this world.
So, I think and write.
I think of ways to add value to people.
If you like something you read please share THIS BLOG with everyone.
You can help others by sharing.
You can change a life by sharing.
You can Improve a life by sharing.
You can make a difference in this world by sharing.

How to reduce your Stress

Stress is defined as an organism's total response to environmental demands or pressures.
Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But this can also be a bad thing, if their stress is in response to something emotional and there is no outlet for this extra energy and strength.

When I think about stress, I think about internal stress or external stress.
Let's look at external stress first.
External stress can be caused by your environment, workplace, other people, circumstances, loss of a loved one etc.
Stress happens. Stress is a part of life. We have good stress and bad stress.
Good stress helps you in dangerous situations.
Bad stress is just bad stress, it's not good.
We all experience some sort of external stress on a daily basis.
How we respond to and handle external stress is key to preventing internal stress.
So, how do we handle external stress?
Here is what I do.
1. I manage and control my external stress by sorting stressful situations.
2. I have two categories, IN MY CONTROL and OUT OF MY CONTROL.
3. All things listed in the OUT OF MY CONTROL list is discarded from my future thinking. I don't pay any attention to things or situations that are not in my control.
4. All things listed in the IN MY CONTROL list are prioritized and handled in highest to lowest priority ASAP. I do not procrastinate. I just get it done NOW!

When you have practiced my four step system to handling External Stress you too will realize that you have far less stressful days.

Internal Stress
How do you handle Internal Stress?
Here is what I do.
1. Do exactly what I do with External stress.
It's that easy.

Most Internal stress is created by YOU thinking and worrying about things that are out of your control. If it is not in your control do not think about it. Learn to STOP thinking about things that are out of your control. Focus on what you can control and get those things done ASAP.
People with a high level of FAITH handle stress much better than people that live life with little or no FAITH. You sleep better at night when you have less stressful thoughts. If you have TRUE FAITH, you won't have any reason to worry and you will have little or no stress at all in your life.

Remember that stress affects your body and mind. Learn to manage your stress and you will learn how to control stress. Practice daily and you will live a STRESS FREE LIFE.

If you need help, you can always contact me via e-mail at barry@barrydillah.com. We offer lessons and classes online that will develop your ability to handle stress. Personal Coaching is what we do best. Remember, price is what you pay and Value is what you get. Learning to handle stress will improve your health and lifestyle and also increase your lifespan. Your life won't change unless you are willing to change your thinking.

Find your Balance in Life

1. Spiritual
2. Physical
3. Family and Social
4. Work

Spiritual Balance
Finding your Spiritual Balance is key to finding YOUR CENTER in Life.
You must know what centers you and keeps you stable on a daily basis.
Your center is what keeps you emotionally stable and ready to handle any circumstance.
Your center is what anchors your Faith and Belief system.
People without Spiritual Balance become very emotionally unstable during certain times in their life.
During times of loss and change in our lives, emotionally unstable individuals can easily experience fear, worry, doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty.
Finding your Spiritual Balance will keep you stable in life.

Physical Balance
If you don't take care of your body where are you going to live?
Pay attention to your physical health.
Many people have trouble balancing their lives because they have so many issues with their physical health. You are what you eat. It is also important to control how much you eat.
Here are 5 quick tips:
1. Eat healthy foods.
2. Get help and KNOW how much you should be eating. Everyone is different.
3. You have to BURN what you eat. Exercise is not optional. Walk for 30mins daily.
4. Admit that you cannot do it on your own. Most people need help with control until it becomes habit.
5. Remember staying physically healthy is a Lifestyle, not a diet.

Food and exercise are only part of being physically healthy.
99% of the population fail to realize that YOUR THINKING needs the MOST WORK.
If you cannot control your thoughts you will never control what you DO.
You must control your thoughts and emotions.
Diets fail because of YOUR THINKING.
You quit exercising because of YOUR THINKING.

You will never be Healthy if your Thinking is not Healthy - Barry Dillah

Reading will Improve your Thinking. Read Daily!
The books you don't read cannot help you.

Family and Social Balance
We are social beings. We function better when we FEEL connected to others.
However, we must connect with the right people.
We connect for friendship, love, business, fun etc.
The same way we cannot let every thought enter our lives we cannot allow everyone into our lives.
You can give everyone some space in your life for a short time but you must also weed out people from your life.
Weed out negative people.
Weed out people that constantly hurt you.
Weed out unproductive people.
Weed out people that ADDs no value to you.

KEEP people that ADD VALUE to you!

Your time is precious. Make sure you are investing your time with the right people instead of spending your time with the wrong people.

Here is the good news. We have many ways to connect with other people today. Social media can enhance your life but it can also DE-value your life depending on how and with who, we connect with.

So, pay attention to your friends, family and loved ones. Who is in your inner circle?

Work Balance
We must work to receive what we want in life. Working is part of sowing. In order to receive we must sow.
However, we must balance our work life with all the other important things we need to balance in life.
When you are at work make sure you are 100% at work. When you are with family, make sure you are 100% with family. This is what most people think balance is all about. You see, most people only think about balancing their life this week or this month or TODAY.
You cannot think about balancing work today, this week, or even this month. You must think about balancing your work Life for the ENTIRE TIME you will be ALIVE.
Work must be balanced with retirement in mind. You should be aware that there will come a time when you will not be able to work. We must do all our work NOW, when we are able to work. The more you work now, the easier your life will be when you retire. This is a concept that very few people grasp and why so many have to work when they should be retired. You cannot reap what you did not sow. You cannot postpone sowing and expect to reap early!

In all areas of balance you must think about it as a LIFESTYLE for living YOUR LIFE.
Find your Spiritual Balance for a Lifetime.
Find your Physical Balance for a Lifetime.
Find your Family and Social Balance for a Lifetime.
Find your Work Balance for a Lifetime.

Think long term so you live a long balanced life.
Don't just think of your God on Sundays or somedays!
Don't diet for 3 weeks!
Don't connect with people you love whenever!
Don't work when you feel like it!

Time and Growth

Learn to give all things TIME to develop a root system and grow. Too many times we start something new and expect to see instant results. We assume that it is not working and change to yet again a new system. We get frustrated because you did not see growth or results. Consider the TIME needed to grow and produce results before you condemn any system. Think of the BAMBOO plant that has no visible growth for years because it is growing, unseen below ground,  developing it's root system, then it grows at the amazing rate of 2 inches an hour above ground. Plants have been recorded at growing over 3 feet in 24 hours. So, give your plans, your dreams, your new systems Time to grow. Remember, things are growing even when YOU can't visible see the growth.

Happiness

Happiness is a state of being - Barry Dillah
What is happiness?
Happiness is the absence of suffering.

Happiness is not something you seek.
Seeking happiness is a sure sign that you don't already have happiness.

Do you find yourself wanting to be happy?
Do you find yourself needing things to make you happy?
Do you have to think of someone before you are happy?
Do you expect happiness in your life because an event is on it's way?
Would you like to be happy now?

I have heard many people say that they will be happy WHEN....so and so happens.
I have heard many people say that they will be happy IF....such and such happens.

The United States Constitution says that you have the RIGHT to PURSUE Happiness.

The same way you cannot seek happiness, you cannot pursue happiness. Happiness is not something you look for. If you look for happiness you will never find it.

You are not happy because of the attachments in your life - Barry Dillah
When we learn to rid ourselves of attachments we will have nothing that causes us to suffer.
Attachments cause suffering.
Happiness is the absence of suffering.

Having more does not make us happier.
The wise know that happiness is not dependent on things, other people, or circumstances.
Happiness is what is left only after you get rid of all things, people, and circumstances that cause you pain and suffering.

This is why so many people cannot be happy.
This is why so many people are only happy for very short periods of time.
This is why we live in a world that experience more pain and suffering than happiness.

So, free yourself of want.
Free yourself of need.
Free yourself of desire.
Free yourself of expectations.
Free yourself of negative thoughts.
There are so many things you need to free yourself from before you are truly happy.

Remember that attachments keep you from happiness.
We are ALIVE and Living LIFE!
Life is filled with pain, suffering, want, need, love, sickness, etc.

Happiness is what is left when we learn how to control our minds and learn to Live and deal with LIFE's attachments in a certain way - Barry Dillah

Happiness is attained by emptying your mind of everything that makes you unhappy.
Doing this takes years of practice and sometimes a lifetime.
Being in a state of happiness is attained only in time and with daily meditation.
You must be happy within your own being.
Happiness comes from within.
When your mind is still, when your mind is empty, when you clear your thinking of all attachments, you will be able to experience a state of happiness.

I truly hope YOU develop the habit of living a HAPPY LIFE.

Why some people Succeed while others fail.

Have you ever wondered WHY some people achieve success while others fail?
Click here to view this video lesson.

I've been hiring people for over 25 years.
I have given thousands of people in that time many different opportunities.
Needless to say that some were very successful and others not so successful.

So, what have I learnt in the last 25 years?

Well, Jim Rohn said it best when he stated that "People don't get Rich doing certain things; People get Rich doing things a certain way".

Think about that statement and ask yourself these questions:
1. Am I just doing THINGS?
2. Am I doing THINGS in EXACTLY the same way SUCCESSFUL people do it?

It's not what you do it's how you do it - Barry Dillah

If you want success you must give up your way of doing things and make it a habit to do things the way successful people do it. This requires you to have an open mind. You must let go of your EGO.

This also means that you get help from the successful people. People that never achieved the success you dream off having can never help you.
Whatever business you choose to excel in you must seek out the people who KNOW what needs to be done and HOW it must be done so that you can learn and achieve success yourself.

Follow this system and YOU will ALWAYS succeed.

Here is what I have also learned.
The people who fail almost ALWAYS think that they know everything.
These are the people that are not open to advice.
These are the people who are sometimes open to advice BUT never Implement the advice.
You can FAIL many different ways.
However, YOU WILL achieve success EVERY TIME if you open your mind and implement the advice given by successful people EXACTLY the way they DO IT.

So, PAY ATTENTION to what Successful people say and more importantly PAY ATTENTION to HOW they DO IT!!!!

Learn to Persist

Do you Persist?

One of the biggest reasons why  most people fail is the simple FACT that they FAIL to persist.

Why do so many start and seem to GIVE UP?
What causes someone to be SO EXCITED to start only to stop?

Could you imagine giving up on walking after you fell several times as a baby?
Could you imagine giving up on learning the Alphabet after the first day in kindergarten?
What would happen if our kids gave up on school after 1st grade?
What would happen if you gave up on dating after your first date?

We were born to PERSIST!
Everything in our life was designed to teach us to develop the HABIT of Persistence.

Ever since the day we were born and every stage in our life since, we became stronger and better, in everything that we persisted in doing to completion.

So why do so many people give up?

MAYBE??? :
1. They never learnt the Lesson of being Persistent.
2. They never developed the HABIT of being Persistent.
3. They find it easier to start something new.
4. They listen to people that feed their fear.
5. They RUN from people that believe in them.
6. They fear because they don't have FAITH in themselves, their ideas, or something HIGHER!
7. They don't have the discipline to stay and persist.
8. They really don't want the rewards that being persistent brings.
9. They don't understand the rewards of being persistent.
10. THEY HAVE DEVELOPED A HABIT OF GIVING UP AND STARTING OVER!!!

#10 on the list is the #1 reason why most people fail to persist later in life.
Think about it.
You were taught to persist and sometimes FORCED to persist as a child.
Some of us learnt early in life that being PERSISTENT brings rewards.
Some of us learnt early in life that we need someone to FORCE and PUSH us in order to persist.
Some of us learnt early in life that giving up was the NORMAL and it is OK to do so.

I am amazed how many people I see daily with Opportunity and they find an EXCUSE and REASON why they cannot seize the opportunity. These are the same people who are always saying that there are no opportunities in life. These are the people that see everything as a scam and not an opportunity.
These are the people that see and know that many people are achieving great success using the opportunity that is offered to them, yet find excuses in starting or in doing what is needed to be successful.
These are the same people that get to 70 years old and are still looking for opportunity and saying they never found one. These are the people that always have opportunity and never seem to ever see it. We should teach in schools a course in SEEING OPPORTUNITY and Seizing it.

Seeing Opportunity and Seizing Opportunity are not the same thing.

F.E.A.R = F**K Everything And Run is the HABIT of the POOR mindset in today's society.
P.O.O.R = Passing Over Opportunity Repeatedly has become a HABIT Mindset for most people today.

So, learn to persist and develop the habit of finishing what you start.
The grass is never greener on the other side.
The grass is greener wherever YOU choose to water it.
Pay Attention and DECIDE to persist and YOU WILL BE VERY SUCCESSFUL in the end.

F.A.I.T.H

F.A.I.T.H - - Fear And Inaction Totally Healed - Barry Dillah

Faith is the only "F" word to cure your Fear.

So, what is FAITH?

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Read the definition above very carefully.

Faith is THE Substance!...Faith is something that is REAL!

Faith is the Substance OF THINGS HOPED FOR....Your Thoughts! Your WISHES!

Faith......The EVIDENCE of things not seen!......not seen with your eyes but seen in YOUR MIND.

Now think about that for a while.

You become what you think about!

Do you have FAITH? or Do YOU live in FEAR?

This is why i keep saying:

If you have FAITH there is NO NEED to worry and live in FEAR! - BD

People that worry and live in fear really need to question their FAITH.
It is sad to see how many people live with worry and fear as a normal part of their daily lives.
These are the same people you see going to church weekly.

There is nothing wrong with going to church BUT WE have to stop and think......IF WE TRULY BELIEVE and HAVE FAITH....Why do WE still worry and live with FEAR daily?

Work on developing your Faith muscle and HAVE Faith that is strong enough so that FEAR is NO MORE.

Question your FAITH and work on making FAITH a stronger part of your daily LIFE.

How we ACT and SPEAK says a lot about our FAITH.

Take a good look at the people around you. Do your friends and family ACT and Speak with worry and fear?

Fear paralyse people.

Faith will set you FREE and allow you to take ACTION in all aspects of your life.

Live in FAITH.

You truly become what you think about daily.

How to take Action

See the Video Lesson Here.

You just found out about a great idea.
What do you do now?

Funny how so many people are given ideas and opportunity almost everyday and fail to take action.
Are you one of those people?
Have you ever wondered why you fail to act?

See the Video Lesson Here.

Well here are some thoughts:

1. You have the HABIT of doing nothing.
This is what 90% of the world population do with a good idea. They do NOTHING with it.
Even if it sounds good, looks good, or even if they see the idea working for others - 90% fail to act.
One reason being HABIT. That's right, you have a Habit of doing Nothing.
Again, the only cure for having a Habit of doing nothing is to develop a HABIT of taking ACTION.
A habit of taking IMMEDIATE action.

2. You are not able to make decisions.
Most people just cannot make a decision. This results in NO DECISION being made.
However, by not making a decision to ACT and Implement that good idea, you have really made a decision to REMAIN THE SAME.
The inability to make decisions keeps people from growing.
Here is the cure; find someone you know that is a good decision maker and ask for help.
In time you will learn to make better decisions. Practice practice practice.
It is always better 99% of the time to make a wrong decision than to make no decision at all.
Even if you made a wrong decision, you would have a lesson in decision making.

3. Procrastination.
A lack of immediate decision making turns into procrastination. YES! You have to THINK ABOUT making a decision and that ends up taking most people a lifetime.
You see, when you put off doing anything, you run the immediate risk of NEVER doing or Thinking about that idea ever again. Here is the cure. Stop over-thinking the idea. Like NIKE says....Just do it.

4. Fear.
Fear paralyses tons of people everyday.
Most people fear because they cannot trust.
It's not even that you don't trust that the idea will work or not work.
Your real fear is that you worry about YOU being able to make that great idea work.
Fear really comes from within YOU.
We all know F.E.A.R to be False Evidence Appearing Real.
This problem is solved with having FAITH.
Faith KILLs fear every time.

5. Ignorance.
Yes! Lack of knowledge will cause all of the above to happen.
Again, 90% of the people remain Ignorant.
Remember, 100% of all of us are Ignorant about something.
None of us are as smart as all of us!
Lack of knowing how to implement the great idea can also stop you in your tracks.
The only cure for Ignorance is to become educated on the TOPIC.
That's why we must be constantly learning something new everyday.
Get an Expert in the field to help you.
Seek advice from someone who has done it before with SUCCESS!

6. You just don't want to change your current situation.
Sometimes people fail to act because they WANT TO remain the same.
WHY? Well, that just there choice.
You see, people need to have a desire to improve, that's stronger than, their desire to remain the same. If YOUR desire to improve is stronger than staying the same, you will take ACTION!

Seeing the Opportunity won't help YOU unless YOU seize the Opportunity by taking action.

How to be Motivated FOREVER!

Here is a New Concept and Idea for YOU!

Have you ever noticed how many people get motivated for a LITTLE while and then they STOP being Motivated?

Have YOU ever seen or experienced BOSSES that constantly attempt and try to keep workers motivated to do what they are being paid to do?

Ever wonder WHY motivation NEVER seem to last?
Ever wonder WHY none of us is ever 100% motivated ALL THE TIME?

We all have days and moments when we feel less motivated or not motivated at all to do anything.

Well, I was thinking one day and it occurred to me many years ago.

Motivation is not what keeps us going.
What we really need to keep us going long term, is to develop a HABIT, for whatever it is we MUST DO!

Habit is what I instill in the people I mentor; I am not with people all day long to keep them motivated but the HABITS I have instilled in them last a lifetime - Barry Dillah

When you develop a habit you will soon realize that you just seem to DO what you are in the habit of DOING without even having to consciously think. Motivation is needed to inspire change in the normal habits of an individual. Once the habit is instilled in the individual motivation is no longer needed to drive that habit.

Think about all of your habits.
You DO, because that's what you are in the habit of doing.
Habits keep us going in the direction and path formed.
Motivation is needed only when we need to change direction.
The only think that can replace a current habit, is to form a new habit.
Habits are the only things that replaces Habits!

If you want to accomplish anything. Know and Implement what habits are needed to accomplish that task and NOTHING will prevent you from achieving your goal.

Find a mentor to help you develop the habits you need so that you are successful in attaining your dreams!

Faith - Do you have it?

Hebrews 11:1-39

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. By faith Abraham, even though he was past age--and Sarah herself was barren--was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country--a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned." Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death. By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions about his bones. By faith Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel. By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days. By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection.
